Pike's Peak Heritage Museum 05/08

While visiting in Colorado to see Maya and Lexi's spring program at school, we took a trip to Cripple Creek and went to the Pike's Peak Heritage Museum. The main floor is dedicated to gold mining, the original reason that Cripple Creek is in existence. There is still mining going on big time in the area. The third floor houses a display of animals found in the area. In the basement you can watch a movie about the history of the area. Click on any of the thumbs to view larger pictures.
