Happy Anniversary (41)
As we stood in the front of the church,
Forty-one years ago today.
You in a tux and me dressed in white
Our vows we were excited to say.
Was it really us so long ago,
Or was it a different pair?
Their love has grown into so much more
What we have now doesn't even compare.
So what was it that day so long ago
That brought them to that point in their life?
The excitement, anticipation of a new beginning,
Starting out as husband and wife.
As a small seed into a beautiful flower grows,
So it has been with us two.
Our love for each other has deepened and grown
As we've shared it while our family grew.
Look what we have now in our sunset years.
We have family who share in our life.
What a blessing to know that we always will be
Forever husband and wife.
