Fun in the Yard |
June 2009 |
We decided to spend a lot of just play time at the house. The kids found the balloons and started by blowing them up and popping them. Then, they started filling them with water; some with half water and half air and some with only water. Then the water guns came out causing water fights with balloons and water guns. Of course, the tree is always popular. It gets used to raise and lower the height of the swing, climb and swing on the limbs, and to carry various items (baskets, towels, blankets, umbrellas, to name a few) to make forts, etc. We were glad to be home when the peaches and apricots were ready to pick. We enjoyed eating them right off the tree as well as sharing with neighbors. If I had the energy, I'd can them, but it is easier to share them and to see the smiles on our neighbor's faces. After returning from Colorado, we put up the pool in the backyard. It was cold the first few days, but has warmed up now as our temps are climbing into 3 digit numbers now. Enjoy the pictures below.
